I don’t like beach very much, but ones I really fall
in love with a beautiful beach, It’s on north of the country in Atacama, this name is “Pan de Azúcar”(means
sugar loaf ) in borough Caldera.
Pan de Azucar
is a gorgeous place, and very important too, because is a natural reserve, in
1985 was proclaim National Park. This Park is between the and the desert and have many attractive, one of them is a very
weird kind of rocks calls “orbicular rocks” (granito orbicular in Chile), that
are only in six place of the whole world, and looks like leopard spots.
You can go
for a walk and see wonderful things that you can’t found in other place of
Chile, the second deepest trench of the world, several kind of cactus, some very
tall and impressive and some very little but with very peculiar and beautiful
flowers and the Humbolt’s penguin Island and believed or not, this island in
front of the most dry desert of the world really have penguins!
In the way
to the park are small fisher settlement called “Caleta Pan de Azucar” where you
can eat tipical food and talk whit the fishermen, are little beach to swim for later follow to
the most amazing place of the Park. In
this place you have a great view of the Pacific Ocean but from the very high cliff and if you look
for west you can see the Atacama Desert in all its splendor, for this reason
this landscape is magical.
